Each session planned for this day will be designed to help you gain a better understanding of what you need to do to secure your next role. Whether you are changing industries, or securing your first role or looking for a promotion, you will find the content of these sessions extremely valuable.

Session Timing

Sessions will run every day during the bootcamp at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm.

12:00: Your steps into employment – join this session for an inside scoop from a fellow Birkbeck Graduate sharing tips and tricks to get hired through the lens of a students and learn al that your Careers Management Portal Handshake has to offer to facilitate your next step.

14:00: Boosting career confidence, in talks with #10000blackinterns – the organisation partnered up with firms from 24 different sectors, delivering internships across a range of internal business functions presenting the opportunity to change a life. Join 10,000 Black Interns talking about Career Confidence – how to build, manage it, maintain and keep it in face of adversity.

16:00: Your Career in Cyber Security, Industry insight with The Cyber Resilience Centre for London

Did you know demand for UK cyber-security professionals continues to increase significantly? Join us for a session with The Cyber Resilience Centre for London to find out all about Careers in Cyber and the versatile pathways and roles in the industry.


Careers Summer Bootcamp - 26th - 28th July 2022

Birkbeck Futures are excited to welcome you to our Careers Summer Bootcamp 2022. Now in the third year running, we are inviting all our students, recent graduates and alumni to join us from Tuesday 26th July to Thursday 28th July for three daily employer-led career sessions focussing on helping to support you in your career journey, build your career capital and develop your personal brand both online and offline.

All sessions will be interactive and are designed to provide you with practical takeaways that you can then put into immediate action. We encourage you to come prepared to ask questions and share your thoughts on the topics at hand. We'd also suggest checking out the associated resources on the Careers Portal which you can access through your My Birkbeck profile.
