Are you looking to stay in the UK post your education to gain UK work experience and acquire skills that you can apply to your career?
If you have arranged a full-time, temporary, paid placement with a UK based employer, you may be eligible for sponsorship under the Tier 5 Government Authorised Exchange scheme.
We have invited Access Tier 5 to give Birkbeck students a presentation on this scheme.
Access Tier 5 is a unique and one of the authorised UK business immigration programmes that can provide flexibility within the Tier 5 Government Authorised Exchange (GAE) category. UK Home Office promotes Tier 5 GAE as the most appropriate route for non-EEA nationals wishing to experience work life in the UK as it allows UK Employers the opportunity to offer internships to graduate recruits. This route also gives Employers the chance to assess the candidate's capabilities during the internship before offering them a more permanent position and sponsoring them under Tier 2.
