- describing past activities
- conveying your intentions
- communicating your opinions.
Through guided practice you will increase your listening comprehension in face-to-face situations.
Using the approximately 200 basic kanji characters you will have acquired by the end of this short course, you will learn to read texts that you may encounter in everyday life and some business settings and compose messages and basic documents. Assessment is via vocabulary and grammar tests (15%), reception skills (20%), a writing composition (20%), a final examination including oral test (40%), class participation (5%).
As a student on this course, you will study alongside Birkbeck students enrolled on one of our undergraduate or postgraduate courses, giving you the opportunity to network with a range of Birkbeck current students whilst you learn.
