Module description

In this module we provide a comprehensive theoretical and practical overview of the criminal justice process in the UK, from a criminological viewpoint. We offer an analysis of the process of criminal justice from the point of arrest to the outcome of court hearings.

We examine the agencies and institutions of the law, looking at their roles, responsibilities and discretion, as well as issues of accountability in relation to current developments in criminal justice.
