Writing Not Writing

Module description

Why do we choose to write? How does the act of writing create the knowledge that it seeks to make legible? What happens when writing stops and other forms of inscription, noise-making and silence take over? In this module students will explore through their own work and the work of practitioners, from within and without of traditional writing practice, how writing shapes enquiry and how not writing operates as an act of expression. This module will be taught in conjunction with a series of guest speakers.
