Philosophy of History
The relevance of history to philosophy has been a theme in philosophical debate since the Enlightenment. This module examines three aspects of the philosophy of history: the nature of historical reason in Kant, Hegel and Marx; Nietzsche’s brand of historical scepticism; and the critique of historical rationality in Foucault and Adorno.
