Executive Board

The School Executive Board is the primary decision making body in the School. It has collective responsibility for the School budget and strategic plan, and has responsibility for setting operational and other budgets for all activities within the School.

Members of the Executive Board 2017/18 are:

Professor Jan RĂ¼ger is shortlisted for the Wolfson History Prize for his exploration of Heligoland, from the Napoleonic Wars to the Cold War.

A new book co-edited by Dr William Ackah uses historical and contemporary examples to show how spiritual rituals and religion are understood by people of African descent.

Birkbeck's Dr Melissa Butcher is part of a team which has been awarded a major grant to research the imagined futures and dynamics of change in India's smart cities.
