I Started My Programme Before 2008/9. Will My Programme Now be Part of the Common Awards Scheme?

In general, students who start any programme on a given set of regulations will remain subject to those regulations throughout that programme. So for example, a student who began a four year degree in October 2007 and completes without taking any breaks in study or re-attempting any year of the programme will be classified according to the old programme regulations in 2011.However students who have taken a break in study, or are repeating parts of  the programme may now move onto the new Common Awards Scheme regulations.

If you are not clear on which set of regulations apply in your case then please contact your School or Programme Administrator. If at any point in your studies you join a cohort of students who commenced their programme of study in 2008/9 it is likely that the CAS regulations will apply to you. If this is the case, this will be confirmed in your enrolment pack.
