Birkbeck's Bachelor of Science in Business Psychology has been awarded Stage One Recognition Status by the Association of Business Psychologists.
The BSc Business Psychology is taught by the Department of Organizational Psychology at Birkbeck. The Department is one of the oldest of its kind in Europe and is well known for specialising in the psychology of work.
Dr Kamau, the BSc Business Psychology programme director, said: "This is brilliant news. It was the necessary first step towards full accreditation by the Association of Business Psychologists and we were very pleased to learn that the course maps successfully onto the Association's criteria".
The degree includes modules about motivation, learning, careers counselling, health and safety, psychopathology and individual differences in the workplace.
