School of Law announces the 2016 Scholarship Lottery winners
Two students from the School of Law are awarded £10,000 towards the fees of their Legal Practice Course or Bar Professional Training Course.
The School of Law is pleased to announce the 2016 Scholarship winners. Ian Robert McDonald and Badar Alam’s names were announced by lottery on Tuesday 14th June at a reception following Law on Trial.
Scholarship winners are awarded £10,000 towards the fees of their Legal Practice Course or Bar Professional Training Course.
To qualify for the lottery, students obtained a high average academic score as well as scoring at least a 2:1 grade in all modules taken on the Law LLB course.
Scholarship winner Ian McDonald says: ‘Simply attending and studying Law at Birkbeck was the most wonderful experience, and one which truly did change my life.
‘To now receive this level of financial support towards my career at the Bar, on top of all that, is incredible. I am eternally grateful for this, and indeed everything that the School of Law has done for me’.
