Student feedback

We value your feedback and want to hear from you. We offer various methods our students can use to provide us with formal feedback that will be used to inform our course development and improve our courses:

  • Class representatives: on each of our degree programmes, we ask for volunteers to act as class representatives. Their role is to represent the class in Student-Staff Exchange meetings.
  • Student-Staff exchange meetings: all of our schools and departments host regular Student-Staff exchange meetings, where students and class representatives are invited to provide feedback on the modules they are taking and their study experience.
  • Course evaluation questionnaires: the end-of-class questionnaire that you will be asked to complete at the end of your studies is an important element of our quality assurance procedures. The form is your chance to share your views on the progress of the class with your lecturer. Thanks to your feedback, we are able to ensure that we maintain the high standards of Birkbeck College and to continually improve our courses.
  • Formal quality assurance procedures: in addition to the above, we operate formal quality assurance processes, including internal and external review of specific courses.
