PhD studentships in the Department of Management

Applications have closed for students starting in the academic year 2018/19. Applications for studentships to start in the academic year 2019/20 will open later in 2018.

Information about studentships

The Department has three studentships available:

  • Two fully funded studentships covering fees at Home/EU rate, plus an annual stipend
  • One studentship covering fees only at Home/EU rate

Fully funded awards include a fee waiver up to the value of the full-time home/EU rate for MPhil/PhD degrees in addition to an annual stipend set at Research Council rates (currently £16,553 2017/18; pro-rata in the case of a part-time award).

Fees only studentships include a fee waiver up to the value of the full-time home/EU rate for MPhil/PhD degrees only.

Studentships are awarded in spring each year, to be taken up for the academic year starting in the October. They will be tenable for up to 3 years (subject to the holder making satisfactory progression as assessed through the College’s regular structures for reviewing the performance of doctoral students).

Who is eligible?

The competition is primarily open to NEW home/EU and international students who are applying for a full-time MPhil/PhD place.

We welcome applications from strong candidates who have identified an appropriate supervisor from within our department’s staff.
