Antivirus provision at Birkbeck

The Trend OfficeScan suite is the supported desktop antivirus product, and may be installed and updated from ITS servers. This is licenced for use within the College, and is not available for home use. Staff should contact their local support staff who will liaise with ITS in antivirus setup.

Home use

Although Trend is not licenced for use at home, all users should take steps to protect personal equipment, and some guidelines are available. ITS are reviewing anti-virus provision for home use and we would welcome feedback on this topic.
