GISc distance learning (GISc DL)

Master of Science (MSc) / Postgraduate Diploma (PG Dip) / Postgraduate Certificate (PG Cert) in Geographic Information Science (GISc)

Geographic information science (GISc) is the theory, practice and effective use of technologies such as geographical information systems (GIS) for the description, explanation, and prediction of spatial patterns and processes.

Our advanced programme is ideal if you are a professional working with spatial data, but would like to develop more advanced theoretical knowledge and high-level practical skills.  We offer flexibility to transfer between programmes.

Our graduates originate from more than 25 countries. They complete our programme to obtain career advancement in areas ranging from consultancy to government agencies to local government to the education sector.

The programme is taught via the Internet, using a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) to deliver learning materials; submit coursework; provide you with programme information, personal feedback, and a discussion forum for you to interact with your fellow students and tutors.
