Geography: Reflecting our research excellence in the areas of environment, geography and international development, we offer you the chance to work with internationally recognised experts engaged in real-world research. We will train you to conduct research of the highest academic standard and to make an original contribution to your subject.

We offer excellent research facilities, including GIS software licenses, equipment for fieldwork and access to laboratory space.

Politics: Building on nearly two centuries of radical thinking, we encourage you to push the frontiers of politics, both as an academic discipline and as an arena for public engagement. Our MPhil/PhD researchers are working in multiple areas, including the politics of gender, British politics, comparative politics, European politics, international relations, public policy and political theory.
