The Department of History, Classics and Achaeology invites incoming students to attend an induction event for those starting on the following postgraduate research (MPhil/PhD) programmes in 2019/20:
MPhil/PhD History
MPhil/PhD Classics
MPhil/PhD Archaeology
MPhil/PhD Classical Archaeology and Ancient History
MPhil/PhD Gender and Sexuality
The Senior Tutor for Doctoral Students will introduce the Department, present an overview of the research programmes, what to expect, how your progress will be assessed, and give advice on engaging with the research community and making the most of your studies at Birkbeck.
The induction will be followed by a postgraduate and research welcome social, where there will be drinks and nibbles and an opportunity to talk with fellow students and members of the HCA Department.
