Managing your references using Mendeley

Mendeley is an excellent tool for collecting references if you regularly search the Scopus and ScienceDirect databases. Learn the basics of Mendeley such as saving references, creating bibliographies in Word and sharing resources with other Mendeley users.
This will be a practical session so please bring a USB memory stick to the session with at least 1GB of memory free. Mendeley EndNote is compatible with Mac and PC.
Prerequisites:
- USB memory stick with at least 1GB of memory free
- familiarity with ScienceDirect
- familiarity with Microsoft based programs
- familiarity with saving and organising files in folders
- Birkbeck username and password required
Examples during the workshop will be done with a PC, Word 2016 and Chrome
Workshop will be held in the Library Seminar Room on level 1
