Show and Tell - Victorian Style. Bring your own Victorian object to discuss and share!
Calling all lovers of Victorian things! Come and join members of the Birkbeck Centre for Nineteenth-Century Studies to explore Victorian objects. Bring your own Victorian artefact and share its story with other fans of Victorian things (photos of large objects are fine!). During the session, you will have the opportunity to investigate a small Victorian handling collection, share tales about your own, favourite Victorian object, and hear about the Victorian object passions of other participants. You can also find out about the nineteenth-century teaching that takes place at Birkbeck on the BA English and the MA Victorian Studies.
PLease note: we cannot take responsibility for your objects. Please make sure that you bring only objects that you are happy to bring under the proviso that Arts Week and Birkbeck cannot take responsibility for any damage to them.
