An opportunity to learn more about what is involved in applying for and undertaking research at PhD level. Undertaking research for a PhD is in many respects different from doing a BA or an MA degree. This session outlines the opportunities for PhD work available in the History of Art Department at Birkbeck. There will be discussion about formulating a PhD topic, locating a suitable supervisor and possibilities for research funding as well as plenty of opportunity for questions.
