The start of the academic year is fast approaching, so why not celebrate the beginning of a fresh year and meet your future classmates early?
And what a better way to celebrate than with chatting over some nice food?
Come and join the One World Week Potluck Picnic on Wednesday 26th of September from 12pm onwards at Gordon Square, and we will share a lunch made of your delicious contributions!
Every guest is asked to bring food to share with a few people. Do you have special dish from your culture that you want your fellow students to try? Or do you want to shine with that one recipe you always impress your friends with? Perhaps you're already thinking of that one finger food that always creates that bedazzling excitement?
No worries, if you cannot or do not want to cook, just buy something nice to bring! We've got snacks such as crisps covered so we suggest guests focus their contributions on something more substantial!
We are unable to provide any warming-up amenities, so please either bring your food warm (think about taking your pan wrapped in a tea towel or a big cloth) or bring something that can be enjoyed cold. Be creative, we're looking forward to being surprised by what you'll bring! We'll also provide the necessary tableware (disposable plates & cutlery) – and don't worry if your dish is a bit messy – we’re out in the garden!
