We have three great sessions lined up, focussing on helping to support you in your career journey and develop your personal brand both online and offline. 

All sessions will be interactive and are designed to provide you with practical takeaways that you can then put into immediate action.

Session Details:

12pm: Building your Personal Brand

A dynamic personal brand is something that is a pre-requisite for career success in the modern workplace with people carving out corporate careers and more people becoming businesses of one and choosing portfolio careers as freelancers.

Everyone is unique and in a crowded recruitment space, you must be able to communicate your expertise, values, skills and goals or risk fading into into the background. This workshop will give you tips on crafting a Personal Brand that will feel polished and authentic for you, helping you raise your professional visibility.

 We will cover:

What exactly is a Personal Brand?
Why personal branding is essential for your career success
Developing and establishing our own personal branding statement
How to put a strategy together to raise your professional visibility and tools to help you track and measure it.
 

 3pm: How do I create a great LinkedIn profile?

Having a great LinkedIn profile helps you manage your personal brand,  adds to your professional credibility and opens you up to more job opportunities. A strong LinkedIn presence helps you build and strengthen your network of relevant industry contacts, and helps you manage and share your career narrative.

It is not enough just to “have” a LinkedIn profile, it is something organic that needs cultivating regularly.

In this workshop we will be sharing some tips and advice to make your LinkedIn profile shine.  We will be looking at all the different elements of your Profile from your photo, headline, to crafting a compelling summary to showcasing your skills and achievements. We will also explore some of the things you need to think about when requesting or accepting connections.

 

6pm: External Speaker session - Charlotte Betts : New Mindset New Results!

The importance of personal adaptability, Understand your mindset and how you can shift focus and achieve your goals.
We will talk about what resilience is and cover some techniques to build it.
All of this along with practical advice on how to approach your job search and build your brand from my years of experience in roles across student hiring from recruitment, to programme management and graduate management for companies including Microsoft, HP and BAE Systems.
