Birkbeck has launched a new programme, 'Birkbeck Inspires', a free online events, activities and resources programme designed to inspire learning, provoke thought, and entertain and excite curious minds.

Not only is work absolutely fundamental to social connections, but social connections, rather than a ’nice to have’ are the glue that keep workplaces together. Research has consistently shown that both technology and frequent homeworking can have a deleterious effect on social isolation and loneliness. Rachel Lewis and Jo Yarker, Chartered Psychologists and Directors of the Professional Doctorate in Organizational Psychology, will be delivering a live talk focusing on how individuals, managers and employees can seek and maintain social connections when working remotely, informed by both their research and that of others. There will also be a question and answer session with Rachel and Jo.

Follow Birkbeck, University of London, on Facebook for regular updates on the series and visit www.bbk.ac.uk/birkbeck-inspires for content as its released as well as timings of future bookable live events.
