Usually on Saturdays or Sundays at places of interest in or within easy travelling distance of London. Some are to sites not normally accessible. Some of these provide background to particular groups of animals or plants or to particular habitats.
An annual spring or summer field week in the UK or Europe, giving an opportunity to see important habitats not well represented in the south-east of England.
This provides reading lists and other help in handling specialist literature.
The Society awards a Book Prize annually, for work of the highest merit in the Diploma in Ecology and Conservation. This prize was established by a gift from Joyce Gadsby.
The bulletin is published three times a year and provides notices of forthcoming meetings and field trips and reports of meetings.
