Teaching

Sue Wiseman works on writing and culture 1540-1650. She teaches on the BA English, BA Arts and Humanities and on the MA in Renaissance Studies and the MA in Cultural and Critical Studies.

She teaches on BA modules including: The Human; Enlightenment and Its Others; Literature and Empire; John Donne and Seventeenth-Century London; Elizabethan and Seventeenth-Century Drama; The Poetry of John Milton; Writing and the English Civil War; Scandal.

At MA level she teaches on the team-taught MA REnaissance Core,
investigating key critical approaches to the Renaissance and key
material aspects of the period's culture (books, objects, manuscripts,
maps). She teaches options including: Metamorphosis: Change and
Transformation in Renaissance England; Literature of Elizabethan
London; Women, Writing and the Renaissance; the Literature of
Reformation.
