Birkbeck's VLE is the BLE

The Bloomsbury Learning Environment or BLE is Birkbeck's centrally supported virtual learning environment (VLE), and is used extensively throughout the college's five schools. The BLE group have recently adopted the Moodle platform and our instance is known as Birkbeck Moodle. (Click here for more information about Moodle.)Previously the BLE used a shared Blackboard (Academic Suite) environment, located at www.ble.ac.uk. The BLE Blackboard site will close on 31 October 2012. |

Access to Blackboard (until 31 October 2012 only)
Accounts:
- Birkbeck users log in to the BLE using their normal ITS username and password.
- If you are having login problems, please change or recover your password (allow one hour after completing this form, and then try to log in again). If this hasn't resolved the problem please contact the ITS Helpdesk.

- Blackboard usually works successfully with any reasonably up-to-date web browser (if using Firefox, please use version 3; for Internet Explorer we recommend version 7 or 8).
