Study film, media and journalism
When you study for a degree in journalism, film or media at Birkbeck, we equip you with the specialist knowledge to grow a career in the media industry. You will engage with the latest ideas and techniques in film, television, digital and print media, and journalism.
Our campus in central London includes facilities such as the award-winning Birkbeck Cinema, the Peltz Gallery, and computer labs equipped with video editing, print layout and web design software.
In addition to your course programme, you can attend our dynamic programme of seminars, events and guest lectures organised by affiliated research centres and networks such as Birkbeck Interdisciplinary Research in Media and Culture, the Birkbeck Institute for the Moving Image and the Vasari Research Centre for Art and Technology.
