Advisory Group

An international advisory group supports the work of the Centre, both through contributing directly to its research seminars and networks and through offering support and guidance for the planning and delivery of its wider strategic goals. The members of this group bring considerable expertise in the study of contemporary religion, and have substantial expertise in the management of major research programmes and projects.

Current members of this advisory group are:

Professor Elaine Graham, University of Manchester, and Director of the Manchester Centre for Public Theology

Professor Stewart Hoover, University of Colorado, Boulder, and Director of the Center for Media, Religion and Culture

Professor Kim Knott, University of Leeds, and Director of the AHRC research programme on Diasporas, Migration and Identities

Dr Mia Lovheim, University of Uppsala, and co-convenor of the Nordic Research Network on the Mediatization of Religion and Culture

Professor Birgit Meyer, Free University of Amsterdam, and Director of the Modern Mass Media, Religion and the Imagination of Communities research programme

Professor David Morgan, Valparaiso University, and co-founder and co-editor of the journal Material Religion

Professor Linda Woodhead, University of Lancaster, and Director of the AHRC/ESRC research programme on Religion and Society
