The BEI Film Unit
The BEI film unit provides a film-making service to all departments within the School with the aim of increasing the profile of the School and individual departments, enriching the student experience and also assisting with the provision of information and training.
Films can be provided in a format suitable for the web and on DVD.

History of the Computer Science Department
Roger Johnson, College Fellow and Emeritus Reader in Computer Science, talks about the history of the department, the first computer science department in the world. Charts some of the innovative developments at Birkbeck, including natural language translation, the worlds first magnetic drum storage device and the first MSc in Computer Science (15 minutes) June 2011.

As part of a series of talks organized by the Birkbeck Sports Business Centre Daniel Geey, Associate in Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP's Compettion and EU Regulatory Law Group, talks about football broadcasting and the recent case of Mrs Murphy, a publican who was prosecuted for using a Greek decoder card to show live Premier League matches in her pub.
