Research excellence

Working in close collaboration with the Institute of Structural and Molecular Biology, the Department is recognised for the excellence and international impact of its research. In the REF2014 the department's joint submission with UCL was ranked as 11th in the UK based on Grade Point Average.

Study with us: part or full time

Birkbeck supports the needs of students who are juggling daytime work or other commitments with evening study. Most of our students study part-time in the evenings, but you can also study with us full-time.
