Study with us: part or full time

Birkbeck supports the needs of students who are juggling daytime work or other commitments with evening study. Most of our students study part-time in the evenings, but you can also study with us full-time.

Science in the spotlight at Birkbeck

A series of free public events focussed on science are taking place to highlight what the College has to offer.

Hole-punching proteins in pathogen attack and immune defence

The way in which protein machines punch holes in cell membranes to destroy cells has been uncovered by Professor Helen Saibil’s research group at the Institute of Structural and Molecular Biology (ISMB), working in collaboration with other scientists in the UK and Australia.
