REF2014 research excellence

REF2014 results ranked the department (joint submission with UCL) 11th in the UK based on GPA (Grade Point Average) and 4* papers (4* indicates world-leading quality research). It was also recognised as being 3rd nationally for research power.

Study with us: part or full time

Birkbeck supports the needs of students who are juggling daytime work or other commitments with evening study. Most of our students study part-time in the evenings, but you can also study with us full-time.
