Man Booker at Birkbeck with Mohsin Hamid

Students, staff and alumni are invited to attend the annual event.

Each year a Man Booker Prize nominee comes to Birkbeck to deliver a talk and take part in a question and answer session. This year Anna Hartnell, Senior Lecturer in Contemporary Literature at Birkbeck will join Mohsin Hamid in conversation about his writing, including the novels Exit West (2017) and The Reluctant Fundamentalist (2007) - both shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize.

All students attending are invited to collect a free copy of the book, which will be available from the Birkbeck Library from early October, to read in advance of the event.

Registration is free, but places are limited, so booking is essential - reserve your place using our online booking form here.

(NB This event is only open to Birkbeck students, staff and alumni)
