Course structure
Autumn Term: Arts Management and Arts Policy in Context
Gain a core understanding of the context for the arts today, examining the current debates in arts management and arts policy, and learning the main skills required in managing the arts. You will develop a critical engagement with the subject in relation to wider social, political and economic contexts.Spring Term: Understanding Audiences: Engagement, Education and Development
Explore the variety of ways that arts managers create engagement opportunities for specific audiences, from marketing and development plans to education initiatives. You will develop your own creative resources to engage audiences.Summer Term: Creative Practice: Developing Visual and Performing Arts Projects
Develop your critical and creative skills in developing projects within a specific arts sector. Through seminars, workshops and site visits, you will discover how to realise an imaginative and realisable project within the context of the arts today.

Further study opportunities
If you are interested in further study, we offer an MA Arts Policy and Management, available by part-time or full-time study. Students who gain a distinction in the Graduate Diploma are guaranteed an interview for the MA programme.
