Film: Narrative and Genre
Building on Introduction to Cinema, you will examine the context of film production, the interaction between industrial and legislative structures, creativity and film texts. A major focus will be on theories of genre, audience and the creation and interpretation of narratives. (Prerequisite: Introduction to Cinema or Television: History and Future.)
