European Union Research Training Grants

Nationals of a member state of the EU (other than the UK), who are 35-years old or younger, may apply directly to the European Commission for a Training and Mobility of Researchers (TMR) Grant to work in our department.

There are two categories of grants offered by the EC:

The next deadline for applications is 15 December 1997 (a decision will be announced in May 1998). The application is submitted by the student/postdoc directly to the EC. The application includes the following sections:

  1. General Proposal Information
  2. Information Concerning the Applicant
  3. Proposal Abstract
  4. Information Concerning the Host Institution
  5. Assessment of the Applicant by One Referee
  6. Detailed Proposal Information

As one can see from the above list, there will have to be a large amount of collaboration to complete the application. So, act fast!
