  • Workshop: 1st International Conference on Osteopathic Education, Royal Holloway, University of London, 17th-19th June 2005
    • Stephen Tyreman of the British School of Osteopathy has been a valued and productive member of the OLAAF Interest Group. He invited Richard Rayne (Birkbeck) and John Potts (Cardiff University, Dental School) to run a workshop at the conference on eLearning and eAssessment. The workshop featured examples from OLAAF's work on eAssessment.
      • PowerPoint Notes.
      • Some simple examples of question styles, using test items on anatomy, are exhibited in this small TRIADS test. The Authorware Web Player is required to run this piece. You can download it for free. (This piece will run only under the Microsoft Windows OS variants.)
  • Workshop: FDTL 4/5 Conference , Manchester, 24th-25th Feb 2005
    • Steve Swithenby (OU) and Chris Glover (SHU) from the FAST Project started the session with a provocative presentation on feedback: how we provide it, what it means to students, and how our practice needs to improve so that students can make the most of it! The audience considered the advantages and disadvantages of bespoke written feedback vs. 'machine generated' feedback, as would be provided in CBA.
    • Richard Rayne (Birkbeck) gave an overview of the OLAAF project, focusing on its main concerns and key principles on which the OLAAF approach is predicated. Les Jervis (Plymouth) then described the evolving application of CBA targeted to support students in learning to undertake problem-solving in biochemistry.
  • Symposium: Birkbeck Learning Technology Event, 28th January 2005
    • Presentation by Richard Rayne, OLAAF Project Director
  • MORE to come soon...
