Overview

What exists? By looking at the history of philosophy we can begin to distinguish many different ways in which philosophers have answered this question.

Our Philosophy as the Art of Living: Modern Views short course will focus your attention on the basic entities that leading seventeenth-century philosophers posited and around which many of their debates were organised:

  • God
  • bodies
  • minds
  • moral laws.

Assessment is 100% by coursework in the form of an essay of 2500-3000 words.

This can be taken as a standalone short course or as a part of:

15 credits at level 4
