Applications for AHRC CHASE PhD studentships now open

Applications are now open for funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council.

The Department of History, Classics and Archaeology would like to draw attention to the opening of PhD studentship opportunities from the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).

Nine leading institutions are engaged in the CHASE network (Consortium for the Humanities and the Arts South-east England) with the aim of developing a new and unique environment in which to undertake doctoral research.

As such 56 AHRC CHASE PhD studentships have been made available, designed to support discipline-based projects, but also interdisciplinary research and research in emergent fields and creative practice.

The stipend is £15,009 (£17,009 for London-based universities). You will also have access to support funding to cover the costs of your research and professional development.

If you wish to apply for a CHASE studentship, you must have applied for doctoral study within the Department before Monday 13 January 2020. You will also need to apply using the online form on the AHRC CHASE website.
