Isabel Da Silva is a university business and management lecturer and a marketing professional who has been working in different industries such as media, health and food.

She has worked in a wide range of industries. She was head of communications and brand for a French restaurant, head of marketing for a national dental group and a category manager for Safeway supermarkets and Exxon Mobil. At Safeway and Exxon Mobil she dealt with a variety of suppliers such as Coca Cola, Procter and Gamble, Unilever and Cadburys.

Her international experience includes being a radio broadcaster in Portugal, where she used to interview the president, prime minister and also football players. In Spain she taught English and management. She speaks Portuguese, English, Spanish and some French.

Recently she passed the FA Level 1 football-coaching qualification.

Isabel is a visiting lecturer in Professional and Business Communication at Birkbeck College, University of London, and is Lecturer in business and marketing Management at Thames Valley University and at some business schools in London.

Her research interests include cross-cultural communication, entrepreneurship and training methodology.  She is a member of the Institute for Learning and really passionate about lecturing, training and maximising students' academic performance.
