Careers Panel - Where could a degree in Psychology take you?

When:
Venue: Birkbeck Main Building, Malet Street

Book your place

Please note that the event takes place in Room B36 in the Malet Street Building

Our alumni panel of speakers will help make the career landscape transparent for psychology UG and PG students. Having a psychology degree opens up many different options depending on your specializations and interests, both in the field of psychology and in related careers where an understanding of human psychology is essential.

Graduates can pursue careers in both the public and private sectors, in  healthcare, education, mental health support, social work, therapy and counseling. Specialisms can be research, advisory, therapeutic and treatment-led.  Outside of the sciences, opportunities can be found in media and other creative industries.

Our panel of talented Birkbeck alumni includes those with careers directly related to their degree and also non-psychology careers to give an idea of the breadth of careers available.

Speakers include:

Michele Vardaro – BSc (Hons) Psychology 2018
Jitka Skypalova – BA (Hons) Psychology for Education Professionals 2020
Eloise Aston - MSc Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuropsychology 2013
Dr Elisa Raffaella Ferre - Department of Psychological Sciences, Birkbeck
