Get Ahead, Stay Ahead: Introduction to Birkbeck IT - an online live demonstration

When:
Venue: Online

Book your place

Get Ahead, Stay Ahead is a series of pre-sessional study skills and writing workshops, designed to help you prepare for university before the beginning of the academic year.

This friendly, live online workshop will help you get ready to use Birkbeck IT. We will demonstrate and answer questions about our four major online learning systems:

  • Moodle - where you will find all the academic resources for your modules
  • Collaborate and MS Teams - two different systems which Birkbeck uses for online lectures and teaching
  • Panopto – our system for recording and replaying lectures

If you are concerned about other IT skills, for example how you will write your assignments in Word or use PowerPoint for presentations, we can guide you to some useful resources for improving your skills.

This online workshop will take place on a link found within the Birkbeck Study Skills Moodle Module

The resources and recordings will be found after the workshops on the Birkbeck Study Skills Moodle module (student login required) in the Get Ahead, Stay Ahead section.

This online workshop will repeat on Wednesday 21st September.
