Dissertation Bootcamp 3: Structuring your dissertation (online)

Venue: Online

The Dissertation Bootcamp 2022 is a series of four workshops repeated on Tuesday evenings (in person), repeating on Thursday lunchtimes (online) in June and July (dates below).

This is workshop 3 of the Dissertation Bootcamp series: Structuring your dissertation (online).

Good academic writing leads the reader through your argument. This workshop can help you structure your dissertation and the flow of your argument by focusing on dissertation chapters, sections and paragraphs to structure your work clearly, and transition statements and signposting language to link together your ideas.

The workshop is primarily aimed at postgraduate students, but undergraduate students or phd researchers may also find it helpful.

The slides and a recording of this workshop will be found in the Birkbeck Study Skills Moodle Module, in the Writing Skills Resources section under 'Dissertations and research skills'

Dissertation workshop dates:

Tuesday in-person sessions - 6-8pm, June 21, 28, July 5, 12
Thursday online sessions - 1-2.30pm, June 23, 30, July 7, 14
