This session is aimed at Birkbeck students interested in using archive and image collections as part of their research project. It will provide an introduction to working with archives and images as part of your research project.  

By the end of the session, you should: 

  • Understand how to identify/find relevant archives and special collections, including images collections. 
  • Understand the common issues encountered when searching archival catalogues. 
  • Understand the considerations and necessary actions needed when using this type of material.
