Making effective notes from your reading and in lectures is a complex activity that requires you to actively engage in several activities simultaneously (such as active reading, critical thinking and active listening) that go beyond simply remembering what you have read or what was said. This session will help you to identify the difficulties that you experience with note-making for academic purposes (both online and virtually) and the importance of - and how to use - a range of note-making techniques. You will consider how to integrate your notes into your writing and ways of organising your notes.

This online workshop will take place on a Blackboard Collaborate link within the Birkbeck Study Skills Moodle Module. It is intended for enrolled Birkbeck students only, and you will require your student login details to access the workshop.
