What would a four-day working week mean for you, for employers and for society?

Dr Pedro Gomes is an academic economist at Birkbeck, University of London and is passionate about the four-day working week.

In conversation with Dr Pamela Yeow, Assistant Dean for External Engagement in the School of Business, Economics and Informatics, Pedro will share recent research and successful examples of the four-day working week from his recently published book, 'Friday is the New Saturday'. The book received glowing reviews from the Financial Times, The Telegraph and The Times.

Pedro and Pam will discuss how our society is ready for this change and what benefits this will bring us as employees, employers and the wider economy.

This event is hosted by the School of Business, Economics and Informatics' Centre for Professional Development. All are welcome to join us.

Following the talk, Pedro will be signing copies of the book at the Gower Street Waterstones next to Birkbeck. Don't miss the chance to meet Pedro in person, have a chat and get your copy of the book!
