Day Trip to Brighton

When:
Venue: External

This event is open to current international students at Birkbeck, University of London only.

Brighton is a cool and funky seaside town on England's south coast.  Originally a fashionable Georgian health resort, it is now famous for its 'alternative' cultures, from 1960s teenage gang culture to its current-day LGBTQ-friendly status.

This excursion includes a walking tour exploring the town's history and places of interest, and a trip up the British Airways i360 Observation Tower for some truly spectacular views.  There will be plenty of free time to explore Brighton's many interesting independent shops, cafés and pubs, or just to relax by the sea.
