Before getting to the stage of drafting your assignment, it is helpful to spend some time unpacking the question; reading about the assignment topic; and draw up a plan.

In this workshop we will look at various tools (apps, software) that can help you with these stages that will lay a solid foundation for the later stages of drafting and editing. See the Events & Workshops calendar for further workshops about these stages.

The suggested strategies will focus on some tools that are freely available on most computers and mobile devices, as well as offering some suggestions for low-cost apps. There are also options for students who would find it helpful to invest in more advanced software.
