Writing is a craft - even when we write non fiction, it is creative and expressive. How do we get our ideas onto the page? This workshop presents ways for you to develop as a thinker-writer, including strategies for drafting and redrafting, editing for content, structure and cohesion, and offers tips for proofreading your final document.

Please note this workshop is for enrolled Birkbeck students only, and you will require your student login details to access the workshop.

This online workshop will take place on a Blackboard Collaborate link within the Birkbeck Study Skills Moodle Module. If you have booked, you will be emailed another link as a reminder to your registered email address (so please remember to check your junk mail.)

This workshop will be repeated numerous times throughout the academic year. A recording and the resources for this workshop can be found in our Moodle module in the Drafting, Editing and Proofreading section (student login required).

The central study skills team offers a variety of study skills and writing skills workshops.
