Breaking Barriers Kit: How to edit and proofread your assignments using apps and software

Venue: Online

So once you have a draft of an assignment together, how can you begin to edit and proofread this to ensure you are representing your hard work in the best way possible? This workshop will:

  • Identify tools that are freely or cheaply available on your personal computer or mobile device to support the editing and proofreading stages of your assignments
  • Show you strategies using apps and software to more easily identify writing issues such as clarity and sense

This workshop is the third of three in a series of Breaking Barriers Kit workshops on the assignment planning/drafting/writing process, as well as offering workshops in other skill areas. The Breaking Barriers Kit series comprises the following workshops run across each term and repeated across different days and times to maximise the opportunity to attend:

  • Apps & hacks for getting your assignment started
  • How to plan and draft your assignments using apps and software
  • How to edit and proofread your assignments using and software
  • How to study from home
  • How to organise your studies using apps and software
  • How to make the most of Moodle using Sensus Access & ReciteMe
