This talk will give an overview of personalisation technologies and of the personalised learning environments development lifecycle, with emphasis on user requirements and evaluation techniques. The emphasis is on user-centred design approaches, covering participatory design sessions with potential users of the system; user testing to assess usability issues; log analysis of user interactions, searching and navigation in order to generate hypotheses about user’s behaviour; heuristic evaluation.
