Come and join us for our MA Psychosocial Studies Offer Holder afternoon.

Our MA Psychosocial Studies programme is a part of the School of Social Sciences.

You will have the opportunity to chat with our staff Dr Margarita Palacios and find out more about the programme.

Dr Margarita Palacios current research focuses on the intersection between aesthetics and the geo-political; the study of affect, desire, materiality and processes of de-materialization; racialisation, feminization and 'white innocence'; memory, memorialisation and possibilities of witnessing.

Our MA Psychosocial Studies explores multidisciplinary discussions on the connections between our precarious and increasingly interrelated collective histories and our ordinary, intimate, personal and psychic life.

The course is designed for graduates from a wide range of backgrounds who are looking to develop an in-depth understanding of the relationship between the individual and social and political formations.

Birkbeck has three research institutes of relevance to students on this degree: Birkbeck Institute for Social Research, Birkbeck Institute for the Humanities and Birkbeck Gender and Sexuality (BiGS). Each organises regular talks and masterclasses, which our students can attend.

Birkbeck teaching takes place in the evening, leaving you free to study, volunteer or explore London during the day.

This event will be online.
