Our researchers lead groups investigating the following areas:

  • Dr Brian Ho: Inter-bacterial communication and competition in multi-species communities; molecular mechanisms and regulation of protein secretion systems.
  • Professor Gabriel Waksman: Structural and functional biology of bacterial secretion systems.
  • Dr Mark Williams: Molecular simulation approaches to biomolecular thermodynamics; empirical structure-thermodynamic relationships; structure-based inhibitor design.
  • Dr Philip Robinson: Structural biology to investigate molecular structure and mechanism of macromolecular chromatin modifying machines.
  • Dr Jerome Gouge: Oxidative stress response; transcription; structural biology.
